To
boost the overall productivity of Indian Agro Electronics
Industries, the C-DAC, Kolkata (Erstwhile ER&DCI, Calcutta) has undertaken
comprehensive IT-enabled automation of all processes of this
crucial export-earner of the Indian economy.
In
collaboration with CEERI, Pilani and Tea Research
Association, Kolkata, the Centre has been selected as the
Nodal Implementing Agency for a major
plant automation project funded by the Ministry of Commerce,
Ministry of Communication & Information Technology and
Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government
of India.
Scope
of work includes:

Planning
and implementation of model tea factory at TES, Jorhat

Design
and development of instrumentation and control system
for different unit operations

Integration
of all the processes
